The relationship between Women and the Moon

Picture
The earth rotates around the sun and completes one revolution in 364 days (plus 8 hours, 48 minutes, and 34 seconds) = one calendar year.

The moon rotates around the earth and completes one revolution in 28 to 29.5 days = one month.

A normal menstrual cycle is 28 to 30 days.

Before electrical lighting existed, most women ovulated with the full moon and menstruated with the new moon.

Women noticed their bleeding coincided with the new moon and their ovulation (clear egg white cervical fluid) coincided with the full moon.

They kept track of their cycles and of time by observing the moons phases. Thus, women invented the monthly calendar.

Originally, monthly calendars were moon cycle calendars.

Each new month started with a specific moon phase, either a full moon or a new moon.

264 day years divided by 28 day months = 13 months per year

Anything ancient that is related to femininity is considered evil. This includes the number 13 and left handedness.

From conception to birth, babies are born in 10 moon cycles.

The word month comes from the word moon. Monthly cycles = moon cycles.

In Latin, menses means monthly. The menstrual cycle = moon cycle.

The months names and meanings. September is the 7th month, October is the 8th month, November is 9th, December is the 10th. All the other months lost their original names. ): March is named after Mars which represents war. July is named after Julius Cesar. August is named after Julius Cesar's son.

Most Women's menstrual cycles are no longer in sync with the moon for various reasons.

One method you can use to help regulate your cycles and increase fertility is to use moonlight.

Some tips are:

1. Avoid artificial lights after 10 pm.

2. Sleep in a completely dark room on the new moon, plus the night before and after the new moon

3. Get 10-15 minutes of moonlight regularly.

4. On the night of the full moon, plus the night before and after, allow moonlight into your bedroom.

The chart above shows the sun, the earth and the moon.

The moon is shown in black and white in different positions around the earth.

The white part of the moon is the side of the moon facing the sun and is illuminated by the sun.

When the earth is between the sun and the moon, we see the illuminated side of the moon/ the full moon ( #5 on the chart).

When the moon is between the earth and the sun (#1 on the chart), we see the dark half of the moon/ the new moon.

It takes 14 to 15 days to transition from full moon to new moon = the waning moon.

It also takes14 to 15 days to transition from a new moon to a full moon = the waxing moon.
